Proximity to the beach is unbeatable. Waking up to the serene views of the ocean and the calming sound of the waves was a daily highlight. The beach itself is clean and inviting, perfect for both sunbathing and very peaceful at dawn and sunset.The area boasts several scenic hiking trails. We took advantage of these and were rewarded with breathtaking views and the chance to reconnect with nature.
Food options around Spyglass Inn also added to the charm of our stay. We indulged in some local cuisine that was as delicious as it was diverse. From fresh seafood to hearty breakfasts, plus a great steak in Arroyo Grande, 5 min drive.
The inn itself provides a wonderful atmosphere to unwind. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, offering all the amenities needed for a relaxing retreat. The staff was friendly and helpful when needed, going out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay.
Overall, our weekend at the Spyglass Inn was a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a rejuvenating getaway in a picturesque setting. I had a fantastic experience from the moment I walked in to inquire about rooms all the way to check out. So happy I found this gem of a place. Lily did a wonderful job with helping me make the reservation and she upgraded me to an ocean front room. Elizabeth showed me around town and told me where all the good spots were. I even enjoyed the hot tub and it was clean and hot. So grateful for this team and this hotel! I will be back!

Very Friendly and helpful staff. Great room as well. Slept a bit hot on the bed, but everything else was wonderful. Wife was not hot on the bed, and loved the blankets. Our room rate for having a room overlooking the ocean was amazing, though it was a Thursday night. Also got the room on short notice! Typically I expect rooms to cost more when short notice.

Close to beach, very good food at their restaurant .Rooms clean,coffee in lobby, parking at motel was easy also easy off and on for freeway.also close to airport and Amtrak union station. Also close to pismo beach and san Louis Obisbo. Good all around.

Right on Pacific Coast. The ocean views are spectacular from the balcony. Prefer 2nd level ocean view rooms. You can hear ocean waves from your room. Bed is comfortable. Has a mini fridge no microwave. Fire pits down below are a nice treat. There is an excellent restaurant next to hotel. There is a also a great gourmet deli/store next to Shell gas station. Hotel is located off 101 freeway with very easy access to the hotel and on and off freeway. A must stay.
